Adopt-A-Rink Volunteer Call-out!
The LBCA is looking for a team of volunteers to oversee the building and maintenance of the Lake Bonavista rink for the 2024/2025 winter season.
Adopt-A-Rink is a City of Calgary program that provides materials to build a pleasure rink in local communities. The rink is independent of the LBCA and operated by trained volunteers. The LBCA supports the rink with water supply, outdoor seating & storage. Volunteers build and maintain the rink, shovel snow off the rink and carry out routine hose floods.
If there are not enough volunteers the rink will not operate. The rink location is beside the Field House/Community Garden at 1715 Lake Bonavista Drive
